Compliance Officer, Control Testing – Danske Bank, Tåstrup, Capital Region, Denmark

You will be part of the Control Testing Team in Group Compliance. We are a continuously growing team of 20 professional colleagues based in Denmark, Finland and Lithuania this position is based in Denmark, Høje Taastrup.

Engage with stakeholders and evolving responsibility.

Your main responsibility will be to test the design and operational effectiveness of controls against Group Policy requirements and external regulatory requirements and expectations. Our annual plan consists of various types of testing activities across multiple Financial Crime risk types, which creates a versatile work life with many different and varied tasks.

You will work with analysis and review of regulatory/policy requirements and expectations as well as other data points, such as the output of risk assessments to determine a targeted risk based approach to testing. Furthermore, Control Testing activity includes;

  • investigation and assessment of internal processes, procedures, control frameworks in order to scope and plan the Control Testing.
  • the need to exercise knowledge and analytical skills to carry out and test accordingly to the scope and raise observations on areas where you find risks that need mitigation.
  • maintain ongoing collaboration with stakeholders, as you will be in touch with our stakeholders on the mitigations and closure of observations.
  • a need to clearly document your results in and ensure alignment and agreement with stakeholders on the context of the report.

You will be navigating in a complex organizational set-up and, you will be engaging with colleagues across multiple teams and work on fast-paced projects balancing business needs and tight deadlines with accuracy, details and analytical approaches.

Can you bring a collaborative mind-set and an ambitious attitude?

To do well in this role, you must have good communication skills, a solution-oriented approach and the ability to summarise complex information for audiences that is accurate and balanced.

You have a proven track record in Stakeholder and Project Management as well as the ability to analyse large volumes of data and documentation. You also bring to the team:

  • 3+ years of experience from e.g., risk, compliance, internal audit or control testing in the financial sector
  • knowledge of processes, controls and financial crime compliance
  • fluency in Danish -both speech and writing.

Your ability to build relations and bring curiosity to understand and help progress our set-up is vital. This is a role for you, who thrive with independent tasks and can prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously and still finds it equally important to collaborate and achieve goals as a team.
