Compliance Consultant – Accenture, Brussels, Belgium

Accenture’s CFO & Enterprise Value practice operates across industries amongst which the financial services industry.

The Finance, Risk and Compliance (F&R&C) team focus activities to tackle issues of importance to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), helping them to transform the finance, risk and compliance function and make it future proof.

With relevant Finance expertise, our ‘F&R&C’ professionals are responsible for designing, building, and delivering high value solutions that help our clients move forward in every part of their Finance Function.

As a consultant in the Finance, Risk and Compliance team, you will contribute to both your project team and your client counterpart at leading clients in BeLux and abroad in the financial services industry.

You will be responsible for building strong and long-term client relationships through complex project execution and constant monitoring of your client needs.

You will be involved in diverse business development activities and sell innovative projects to transform the Finance function together with the industry and functional experts.

Duties:

  • Manage projects concerning implementation of new regulation, contribute to audit findings remediation, and advise on organisational and technical optimisation/rationalisation levers to meet regulatory requirements in the most efficient way.
  • Shape and implement best-in-class solutions helping our FS clients to achieve excellence in Risk management
  • Leverage analytical and technical skills to steer the team towards exceptional insights
  • Develop a strong network of Accenture clients, experts, colleagues, and friends
  • Actively keep track of latest regulations and compliance trends and opportunities they entail

  • Master’s degree in Law, European affairs, Business Economics or related studies
  • 2 to 5 years of experience within financial services industry in regulatory and compliance areas, in public affairs, compliance transformation, non-financial risk management, GRC implementation…
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory landscape such as Mifid/IDD, KYC/AML/Anti-Financial crimes, PSD II, Data privacy, SFRD/ESG requirements recommendations, ….
  • Ability to support client to define non-financial risks appetites and to transform regulatory requirements into business/legal/technical requirements
  • Ability to set up adequate governance structure and controls frameworks to ensure compliance
  • Understanding of digitalisation and data analytics potentials for process optimisation
  • Entrepreneurship and Business development mentality
  • Work in a client facing environment in delivering change through executing activities such as requirements definition, gap analysis and working with clients to design and deliver solutions
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge in data analytics tooling is a plus
  • Effective communication in English, Dutch or French is a plus
