The Risk & Compliance team is responsible for overseeing the compliance programme of the firm and assists our client-facing teams with risk management, compliance and ethics matters, including training, internal procedures and regulatory issues. In addition the team performs monitoring and testing of compliance on a series of matters.
We are looking for a Senior Associate to join the Risk & Compliance team in Brussels, to support the firm’s compliance with Risk Management Standards and legal obligations.
Your impact
As a Risk & Compliance Specialist, you’ll make an impact by:
- Executing the monitoring and testing programmes.
- Designing, and implementing where required, roadmaps to remediate gaps and deficiencies identified during monitoring and testing activities.
- Maintaining Risk Management and Compliance policies.
- Supporting the implementation of compliance programmes (including anti-money laundering, anti-corruption, ethics and third party risk management).
- Assisting with the implementation of new compliance tools within the firm, including analysis of functional requirements and UAT, and supporting other Compliance projects.
- Providing support to the business, advising client facing teams in the moments that matter with regard to risk and compliance issues, as and when they require assistance and guidance.
About you
We are looking for a senior associate with the following profile:
- A Master’s degree and at least three years of work experience.
- You have an inquisitive mind and a strong risk mindset
- You have a natural curiosity and a general interest in compliance and ethics and are looking to advance your skills and experience in these areas.
- You have experience in AML / KYC. Experience in this area is not a hard requirement, however being genuinely interested in the topic or having similar experience is a must
- Affinity with new IT applications (such as data modelisation and visualisation software), and you’re proficient with more traditional applications.
- Project management skills.
- The ability to understand complex processes and how they fit together.
- You have attention to detail.
- You are good at following procedures but you can also think outside the box and you enjoy helping others.
- A quality-driven mindset; you’re also flexible, proactive, service-minded and open to change.
- Excellent verbal and written English, together with good knowledge of French and/or Dutch.
