NEWS: Success for ‘Collared’ as our podcast hits No. 1 Business News spot in eight countries

By PAUL O’DONOGHUE, Senior Correspondent

AML Intelligence’s new podcast, ‘Collared’, has already enjoyed phenomenal success in its first few weeks, reaching Number One in the ‘Business News’ charts across eight countries.

Our podcast also broke into the Top 10 in major markets including the UK, Australia and the UAE (United Arab Emirates).

It’s a major success for the new podcast series, charting trends, insights and opinion across the fincrime and fraud sectors. ‘Collared’ is designed for professionals in the AFC space globally, featuring expert guests and insights from our editorial team and correspondents.

AMLi Publisher Stephen Rae said the tone of the series was a mix of The Economist’s ‘The Intelligence’ and the New York Times’ ‘The Daily’ – designed for professionals and those critically interested this space.

The formula is working with rankings based on data from Podstatus, which tracks podcast performance across platforms including Apple Podcasts and Spotify, showing the series charting across the globe.

According to Podstatus data, Collared reached No. 1 in the Business News category in Ireland, Luxembourg, Malta and Estonia, among other markets.

Beyond topping the charts in eight countries, the podcast also ranked among the top 10 Business News podcasts in major international markets including the UK, Australia, Turkey and the UAE, as well as Portugal, Norway, Austria and Italy.

Collared aims to become the definitive podcast in the world of AML, compliance and financial crime.

The show features interviews with leading CEOs and regulators, alongside in-depth explainers from the AML Intelligence team.

The latest episode explored how scam centres work and how modern slavery generates $250 billion in illicit profits.

James Treacy, AML Intelligence’s co-founder, said that podcast’s position chart position demonstrates it has already become a trusted source for listeners.

“We’re thrilled with the success of Collared, which has rapidly become a leading voice in Business News, AML and Financial Crime,” he said.

“Topping the charts in multiple countries is a testament to the quality of our guests, the expertise of our team and the appetite for informed discussion on the issues shaping the financial crime landscape.

“We want to sincerely thank our listeners. We’re excited to continue bringing them exclusive interviews, expert analysis and compelling stories from across the sector.”
