SCAM centres have grown to become enormous professional operations, with criminals using industrial-scale fraud operations to steal billions.

Episode 6 of ‘Collared’ explores how these centres function, how much money is involved, and why many of the scammers working in these factories are often victims themselves.

It is available right now on:

The episode analyzes one of the fastest-growing industries in Southeast Asia. While officials say they are closing down these scam factories, ‘Collared’ examines reports that government crackdowns have been ineffective.

In addition, this episode of ‘Collared’ also features a deep dive on modern slavery today – a practice which generates nearly $250 billion in profit every year.

We speak to Andrew Wallis, the CEO of Unseen. He reveals how modern slavery impacts an estimated 50 million people, and how the practise happens in plain sight.

He also explores what forms modern slavery takes, who the people most vulnerable to being exploited in this way are and who’s doing the exploiting.

Episode 6 comes after last week’s ‘Collared’ looked at how scammers are targeting fans at World Cup 2026 and European football’s AML overhaul.
