LATEST: UK officials seize assets from notorious gangster ‘Whitey’ Bulger

UK authorities have seized thousands of pounds from bank accounts linked to notorious American gangster James Joseph “Whitey” Bulger, once one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives.

James Joseph Bulger led the Winter Hill Gang, a violent organised crime group based in Boston, Massachusetts. Courts convicted him of multiple murders and offences including drug trafficking, money laundering and extortion.
