Ms Rowland is set to speak on the watchdog’s priorities and plans. The address will give key insights for European financial institutions, as AMLA will shortly assume responsibility for AML oversight across the EU.

Formerly deputy governor of Ireland’s Central Bank, Ms Rowland now holds one of the most prominent AML roles at any regulator in Europe.

AMLA’s five person Executive Board, plus the agency’s Chair, are responsible for setting the watchdog’s agenda – and more broadly, AML oversight across the EU.

A lawyer by training, Ms Rowland has worked at the Central Bank for two decades.

She was one of one of three deputy governors at the regulator, with responsibility for the areas of consumer and investor protection.
