THE CHANNEL island of Guernsey must step up efforts to investigate, prosecute, and convict money laundering offences, according to a new MONEYVAL report published today.

The study from MONEYVAL, the Council of Europe’s anti-money laundering body, praised Guernsey’s understanding of money laundering and terrorist financing risks, as well as its effective use of targeted financial sanctions.
