UK’s National Crime Agency ‘Kleptocracy cell’ detains £38M superyacht in London operation

Officers from UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) have detained a £38M superyacht owned by a Russian businessman, in the first major move by the NCA’s ‘Kleptocracy cell’ carried out in front of cameras.

The 192ft superyacht was detained by officials under sanctions imposed on wealthy Russians following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
