NEWS: EBA finds competent authorities co-operation with FIUs ‘often ineffective’ and hampering Europe’s AML abilities

THE EUROPEAN Banking Authority has found that the EU’s competent authorities (CAs) are still not cooperating to the full extent with national FIUs.

This lack of co-operation is hampering the union’s ability to put in place a fully effective AML strategy.
