  rcebanque.company: BaFin investigates operator allegedly domiciled in London

  The Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht – BaFin) warns consumers about the website rcebanque.company. The operator of this website, which operates under the company name Bridgewater Associates (UK) Limited, London, is offering financial services, in particular the management of client portfolios, without the required authorisation.

  The website also includes a further address in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. BaFin is currently investigating whether the operator of this website is the same as a company of the same name that is registered with the UK company register (“Companies House”). BaFin also wishes to point out that, in the business documents available on the aforementioned website, the company Safe Investment Group LLC, also allegedly domiciled in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, is named as the operator of the website. According to information available to BaFin, the operators were in the past also responsible for the websites rcebanque.com and rcebanque.org.

  More than 800kg of cocaine seized in WA, three arrests

  Police have charged three men allegedly linked to a transnational serious organised crime syndicate that attempted to smuggle more than 800kg of cocaine into Australia hidden on a bulk cargo carrier. The joint agency investigation started after authorities received intelligence about a plot for an illicit consignment of drugs to be dropped in the ocean off the West Australian coast in May for collection by an Australian-based syndicate.

  Treasury Sanctions Military-Affiliated Companies Fueling Both Sides of the Conflict in Sudan

  WASHINGTON — Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) designated four companies generating revenue from, and contributing to, the conflict in Sudan. The entities designated today are affiliated with the two embattled forces that are fueling the ongoing conflict in Sudan: two companies affiliated with the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and two companies affiliated with the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF)
