INSIGHT: Questions over American Express board as it misses $13 billion in suspected money laundering

AMERICAN Express has just been landed with what looks like the largest AML fine of 2026 so far.

The US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and ⁠the Federal Reserve yesterday announced the penalty against the financial services firm for a string of AML failures stretching back over a decade.
