By AML Intelligence Correspondents

BANK of America has been ordered to pay $1.2 billion to the U.S. Treasury Department over alleged China-related fraud, TBML and sanctions violations.

The penalty is the third-largest ever in Treasury history, the agency said. As part of that total, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) ordered the bank to pay a charge of $750 million, the largest-ever fine levied by the OCC.
