ANALYSIS: Canada almost certain to avoid FATF greylist after latest MER — despite TD Bank scandal

CANADA’S latest MER (Mutual Evaluation Report) from the FATF (Financial Action Task Force) likely came as a major relief to Ottawa officials. 

Barring a major shock, the country will almost certainly not be added to the FATF’s dreaded grey list, which lists jurisdictions with problematic AML regimes.
