RIPJAR, a leading financial crime compliance technology firm, has appointed Conrad Nicholas as Chief Product Officer and Katie Miller as VP Marketing.
The move comes as the company expands its leadership team following a 40% increase in annual recurring revenue.
Mr Nicholas joins from Droit, where he was Head of Product for Pre-Trade Compliance. He previously spent 12 years at UBS, most recently leading product for regulatory onboarding and data services.
Ms Miller joins from AML Analytics, where she spent more than seven years as Group Head of Marketing and Communications. She has more than 20 years of marketing experience across financial crime, RegTech and supervisory technology.
Ripjar provides customer screening, adverse media monitoring and threat investigation software to more than 400 organisations globally. This includes banks, commercial firms and government agencies.
Mr Nicholas will lead Ripjar’s product strategy and innovation roadmap, while Ms Miller will oversee its global marketing strategy.
The appointments come as businesses face “increasing regulatory pressure, fast-changing global sanctions regimes and multiplying adverse media risks”, Ripjar said.
“Managing financial crime and reputational risk is becoming more complex, with growing adoption of AI among criminals,” Mr Nicolas said.
“My focus is a roadmap that continues to turn that advantage into everyday value for customers, with explainability at the centre of how we build.”
Ms Miller said Ripjar had built a “strong global reputation” among financial institutions and enterprises.
“The opportunity to further expand Ripjar’s market presence and deepen its engagement with customers globally is an exciting proposition,” she said.
Matt Mills, Chief Executive Officer of Ripjar, said: “Conrad and Katie join Ripjar at a crucial moment, following strong growth in our screening business that has seen annual recurring revenues increase by 40%.
“Their appointments strengthen our leadership team as we enter the next stage of evolution, including our expansion into markets such as the US.”
