THE U.S. Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) has launched a new Office of Supervisory Appeals (OSA), restoring an independent process for banks to challenge certain supervisory decisions.

The FDIC said the OSA is “a standalone office within the FDIC.” It also said the office “replaces the Supervision Appeals Review Committee as the final level of review of material supervisory determinations.”
