NEWS: Ex-Goldman Sachs banker convicted after hiding $1m in bribes from compliance staff

A former Goldman Sachs investment banker has been convicted of paying more than $1 million in bribes to Ghanaian government officials and hiding the scheme from the bank’s compliance team.

A federal jury in Brooklyn convicted Asante Kwaku Berko on charges of conspiracy to violate the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), violating the FCPA and conspiracy to commit money laundering.
