A former AIB employee wore his staff badge to pose as a legitimate bank worker while collecting bank cards from victims as part of an organised fraud scheme that stole more than €17,000.

Joelle Mopiti, 27, of Brookview Avenue, Tallaght, will appear before Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for sentencing later this month, according to the Irish Independent. He has pleaded guilty to two counts of money laundering and 10 counts of theft.
