NEWS: Social media sites being ‘abused’ for terrorist financing, warns FATF

TERRORISTS are increasingly abusing social media to finance their activities, the FATF (The Financial Action Task Force) has warned.

The FATF said its report, Detecting and disrupting terrorist financing activity through social media, instant messaging applications and streaming platforms (SMSPs), highlights how terrorists misuse digital platforms.
