LATEST: US Justice Department subpoenas major banks over alleged ‘debanking’

THE U.S. Justice ​Department has ‌issued subpoenas to several ​major ​banks, including JPMorgan Chase and ​Bank of ​America over alleged ‘debanking’.

Officials are seeking information on whether ​the banks ​improperly closed customer ‌accounts ⁠for political reasons, according to the Wall ​Street ​Journal .
