THE EU has highlighted a ‘divergence in AML enforcement’ with the U.S. as it looks to harmonise compliance rules across the bloc.

A briefing prepared for MEPs in the European Parliament provided a comparative analysis of AML frameworks in five major financial jurisdictions. These were the EU, the U.S., the UK, Japan and Singapore.
