AIRWALLEX, one of most prominent fintech firms founded in Australia, faces an AML audit from the country’s financial crimes agency.

AUSTRAC, the Australian FIU (Financial Intelligence Unit), has launched a probe into the firm and ordered it to appoint an external auditor. The action could complicate Airwallex’s plans for a multibillion-dollar stock market listing.
