CFCC course content

The CFCC is a new course which trains professionals in building and managing effective AFC (anti-financial crime) programs and AML (anti-money laundering) programs.

Many current compliance courses focus mainly on theory, with exams based on memorizing answers.

In contrast, the CFCC emphasizes practical, scenario-based skills – which are now more valued by regulators and employers.

The first intake started the CFCC in December. In tandem, AML Intelligence also announced that Rory Doyle, head of Financial Crime Policy at Fenergo, one of Europe’s leading fintechs, has been confirmed as a lecturer.

The CFCC is fully online and recorded. Attendees can complete it in their own time. The course is delivered over six ‘blocks’. Each ‘block’ contains four on-demand chapters, taking approximately 20–30 minutes each.

These will cover:

  • 1) Global AML/CTF standards & supervisory models
  • 2) Criminal typologies & threats
  • 3) Monitoring for Suspicious Activity beyond rules
  • 4) Technology, innovation & crypto compliance
  • 5) Investigations, reporting & the FIU/LE interface
  • 6) Governance, culture & accountability
