NEWS: EBA calls out ‘uneven playing field’ for authorising payments firms

DIVERGENCES in how different EU regulators treat applications from payments companies risks an ‘uneven playing field’ across the bloc, the EBA (European Banking Authority) has warned.

In a new review, the organization said that application volumes and authorisation timelines “vary significantly across member states”.
