NEWS: US banking stocks hit after two lenders reveal fraud disclosures

SHARES in US regional banks dropped sharply after Western Alliance Bank and Zions Bank disclosed exposure to alleged borrower fraud.

Zions Bancorporation revealed a $50 million loss tied to two commercial and industrial loans. While Western Alliance said it had initiated a lawsuit alleging fraud by Cantor Group V, LLC.
