A Chinese court has sentenced 11 members of the Ming crime syndicate to death for allegedly running scam operations in Myanmar that trapped thousands of victims across Asia.

The Wenzhou intermediate people’s court said those sentenced were part of a criminal syndicate which “relied on armed force” to establish multiple compounds in Kokang.
