LATEST: How Elon Musk’s Starlink faces US probe as part of scam center crackdown

A US congressional committee has opened an investigation into Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite network over its role in providing internet access to scam compounds in Myanmar.

AFP reported that Starlink dishes began appearing on compound rooftops soon after a government crackdown in February that aimed to close them. Data from the APNIC Asian internet registry shows Starlink became Myanmar’s largest internet provider within three months.
