NEWS: EU President vows to sanction Israel in ‘State of the Union’ address

EUROPEAN Commission President Ursula von der Leyen pledged sanctions on Israel in her annual State of the Union speech.

Von der Leyen said the EU would target “extremist ministers” and violent settlers. She also proposed a partial suspension of trade under the EU-Israel Association Agreement.
