NEWS: EU households should hold emergency cash, says ECB

THE European Central Bank (ECB) has urged EU households to keep emergency cash at home, in case digital systems fail.

In a new paper, the ECB called on governments to issue guidance on household cash reserves. The Netherlands, Austria and Finland already advise citizens to keep between €70 and €100 per person.
