NEWS: Mexican President hits out at ‘unfair’ US-proposed 3.5% remittance tax

CLAUDIA Sheinbaum, the Mexican President, has said a proposed 3.5% tax on remittance payments from the U.S. is ‘unfair’.

The charge would apply to money sent from the U.S. to other countries by non-U.S. citizens. The proposed measure is part of the ‘Big Beautiful Bill’.
