NEWS: ING apologizes for ‘discrimination’ during AML checks

DUTCH banking giant ING has apologized to customers after admitting its anti-money laundering (AML) checks have had a ‘discriminatory’ effect.

The lender said it had made “concrete steps” to improve how it questions customers. The move follows findings that young people and ethnic minorities were more likely to face intrusive checks.
