NEWS: Dutch banks hit out at EU’s ‘rigid’ new AMLR plan

DUTCH banks have criticized the EU’s new AML package, the AMLR, saying the rules are overly rigid and will cause unnecessary friction for customers.

The European Anti-Money Laundering Regulation (AMLR) is due to come into force in June 2027. It aims to standardise AML rules across the EU.
