STUART Davis, a financial crimes expert who advised Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD) as it coped with a historic US AML probe, has left the bank after completing a 10-month contract.

Davis joined TD last summer as a special adviser to chief risk officer Ajai Bambawale. The bank said at the time that the role was temporary, and that he would work “on a range of strategic initiatives”.
