EUROPE’s most senior law enforcement chief is to speak at ‘European Anti-Financial Crime Summit 2025’ in Dublin on May 7, it’s been announced.
Catherine de Bolle, Executive Director of Europol joins the stellar line up of speakers at EAFCS2025 which takes place at the historic RDS convention center near central Dublin.
EAFCS2025 is set to be one of the year’s top anti-financial crime events, offering expert insights and networking opportunities.
Other confirmed speakers include Paschal Donohoe, President of the Eurogroup of finance ministers and Bruna Szego, chair of the EU’s Anti-Money Laundering Authority (AMLA).

The summit will bring together 800 senior professionals from banking, fintech, crypto, policy, and law enforcement. Attendees will hear from experts across the EU, UK, US, and MEA.
Catherine De Bolle has been the Executive Director of Europol, the European Union agency responsible for coordinating law enforcement and combating cross-border crime, since 2018.
In her role, she leads Europol in its mission to ensure the safety of EU citizens by promoting information exchange and cooperation between police forces in Member States.
Before taking up her position as Director of Europol in May 2018, Catherine De Bolle was Commissioner General of the Belgian Federal Police from 2012 to 2018.
Before her appointment as Commissioner General, Mrs. De Bolle was Chief of Police of the local police zone Ninove. In January 2015 she received the title of Public Manager of the Year. From November 2015 to November 2018, she was a member of the Interpol Executive Committee.
Mrs. De Bolle studied law at Ghent University and subsequently graduated from the Royal Gendarmerie Academy in Belgium.
Europol supports EU member states in fighting terrorism, cybercrime, and financial crime. Catherine de Bolle, a lawyer by training, has led the agency since 2018 after serving as Commissioner General of the Belgian Federal Police.
