THE UK’s Serious Fraud Office (SFO) has secured its first Unexplained Wealth Order (UWO) in its efforts to recover a property in England’s Lake District linked to a £100 million fraud.

The High Court approved the UWO against a £1.5 million property owned by Claire Schools, former wife of convicted solicitor Timothy Schools, who was sentenced to 14 years in prison in 2022 for stealing and laundering millions of pounds from clients.
