Austria : GRECO publishes latest compliance report on corruption prevention in respect of members of parliament, judges and prosecutors

GRECO has today made public its Fourth Interim Compliance Report on Austria under the Fourth Evaluation Round, setting out an assessment of the progress made by Austria in implementing GRECO’s recommendations to prevent corruption in respect of members of parliament, judges and prosecutors.
The report was adopted by GRECO at its 103rd Plenary Meeting, held in Strasbourg from 8 to 12 June 2026. Austria is expected to submit a report to GRECO on the implementation of the outstanding recommendations by 30 June 2027.
Poland: Six detained in probe into €900 000 flood compensation fraud

At the request of the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) in Katowice (Poland), six individuals were detained yesterday, as part of an investigation into suspected fraud involving €900 000 in compensation to companies for losses caused by floods.
Between December 2024 and November 2025, representatives of three companies submitted claims for compensation, supported by documents intended to certify losses during the floods that devastated south-western Poland in September 2024.
