NEWS: France demands new anti-corruption watchdog for the EU

The French government wants the European Union to create a corruption watchdog authority, following scandals in recent months that have rattled EU institutions. 

President Macron and French Secretary of State for European Affairs Laurence Boone have proposed creating an independent anti-corruption body that can spot conflicts of interest and check the income of officials.
