NEWS: UK bank chiefs urge PM to make big tech companies shoulder blame for fraud epidemic

The British Prime Minister has been told by the country’s biggest banks that companies such as Meta Platforms, which owns WhatsApp, have to shoulder some of the financial burden for online scams. 

Bank bosses urged Rishi Sunak to make technology companies help pay for an online fraud “pandemic” threatening investor confidence in the UK.
