Access to beneficial ownership information will only be granted under “specific circumstances” to five categories of recipients, under new proposals revealed by the US Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN).
FinCEN was keen to stress however that protecting BOI from “unauthorised disclosure” is a “top priority” for the body.
