LATEST: Malaysian former PM loses appeal to overturn conviction in multi-billion dollar 1MDB scandal

The former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Najib Razak has lost his final appeal to overturn his conviction linked to the infamous 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal.

Najib today lost his appeal against his conviction and 12-year jail sentence, after a five member federal court panel ruled his appeal was “devoid of any merits”.
