LATEST: Israel limits cash payments in attempt to stamp out tax evasion and dirty money

Israel is to limit cash payments to 6,000 shekels (€1740) as the country attempts to crack down on money laundering and tax evasion. 

The new law, which came into force on Monday, will restrict cash payments to 6,000 shekels (€1740) for one business transaction.
