NEWS: INTERPOL investigation sees Japanese man arrested in Ghana for romance scam network

Police in Ghana have arrested the suspected ringleader of a romance scam network and extradited him to back to Japan as part of an international investigation coordinated by INTERPOL.

The Japanese man, who reportedly used matchmaking apps to communicate with his victims, is alleged to have conned at least 400 million yen (€2.9M) from them and is also believed to have links to organised crime.
