NEWS: Germany to get new FinCrime Authority, finance minister reveals; follows Wirecard and BaFin scandals – and just days ahead of critical FATF report

AMLA: German finance minister Christian Lindner will be in Brussels next week to pitch Frankfurt's case to host the EU's new AML Authority.

Germany is to get a new federal FinCrime Authoirty, the country’s Finance Minister Christian Lindner has revealed.

Lindner says he wants to create a “paradigm shift” in the country’s anti-financial crime (AFC) efforts. 

Speaking today (Tuesday), Lindner revealed the plans to create a new higher FinCrime federal authority that will bundle together the competences of the country’s current AML and AFC efforts.
