‘Miracle’ needed to stop South Africa from being grey listed says Director General of the National Treasury

South Africa will be grey listed by the Financial Action Task Force, unless the country can perform a “few miracles”, according to the country’s Director General of the National Treasury. 

Ismail Monomiat warned South Africa was “almost certainly headed to be grey listed” by FATF in February 2023, “unless we can perform a few miracles.”
