LATEST: KPMG to pay £18.4M (€21.6M) to UK accounting regulator over Carillion and Regenersis audits

KPMG has been handed a £14.4M fine for misleading the UK’s accounting regulator over its audits of now defunct outsourcer Carillion and another UK firm, Regenersis.

The accounting firm has been handed its largest ever UK fine, after it was found it has provided “false and misleading information and documents” to the Financial Reporting Council (FRC).
