ECB to include climate change considerations in Eurosystem’s monetary policy framework; Lagarde says decision is turning climate change commitments to ‘real action’

The European Central Bank (ECB) has announced it has taken further steps to bulk up its climate considerations into the Eurosystems’ monetary policy framework.

The ECB has decided it would adjust corporate bond holdings in the Eurosystem’s monetary policy portfolios, as well as introducing climate-related disclosure requirements and enhancing risk management practices.
