Slovenia ‘moderately improves’ AML measures but ‘significant deficiencies remain’ in CFT, as Moldova demonstrates ‘good progress’ in compliance with FATF standards, says MONEYVAL

The Council of Europe’s anti-money laundering committee, MONEYVAL, has said that Slovenia has “moderately improved” its AML/CFT measures, but warned that “significant deficiencies remain.”

MONEYVAL added that the improvements noted demonstrated “some progress in the level of compliance with FATF standards,” but described how there were “still significant legislative deficiencies” in relation to the criminalisation of terrorist financing.
