A number of EU countries are reportedly pushing for a new round of sanctions against Russia and Belarus and increased military support, following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February.
About one-third of the 27 EU Member States have requested that the European Commission start work on a seventh package of sanctions, less than three weeks after the hard-won sixth package was approved.
