EBA says ESG risks pose a ‘clear and present danger’ to banks

The Chairman of the European Banking Authority (EBA), Jose Manuel Campa has warned the banking sector, as well as the watchdogs, are not doing enough to defend against environmental, social, and governance concerns.

He added: “It’s an area where we’re all late and I would like to see more action not just from banks, but from all of us including regulators.”
