NEWS: EU imposes stronger KYC rules on crypto firms in latest regulatory clampdown on sector; green light given by governments to AML Authority

The Council of the EU has agreed its partial position on the establishment of the new EU Anti-Money Laundering Authority (AMLA) proposed by the Commission in July 2021. 

In a statement, the Council of the EU said its members had agreed its partial position on the proposal, as it has not yet agreed on AMLA’s location.
